Join the global flow towards sustainability!
Xpat wants to help you reduce your carbon footprint. Our unique limited edition handbags are produced in New York City. Our commitment to produce Xpat locally not only supports our disappearing manufacturing segment of New York's historic garment industry, but encourages a "locally made" and "shop local" sustainable philosophy.
Xpat handbags are made from re-purposed textiles. There is already enough material in the world so why make more? Our textiles come directly from the collection of Mary Catalina, owner of vintageloftnyc. A fashion and textile design consultant named as one of the top ten most influential people in New York fashion, Mary hand picks fabric for each Xpat bag from the most unlikely corners of the world.

These re-claimed materials produce a limited edition of between one and one hundred distinctive handbags. Each bag comes with a "Herstory" of its textile, adding to the unique character of the bag you choose. Xpat handbags offers you a unique way to develop your self-expression. You will know when you have purchased one of Xpat's limited edition bags because X always marks the spot.
Xpat is committed to creating products that never die. We subscribe to the concept of cradle to cradle design, in the hopes that our products will be endlessly recycled. We will recycle your handbag to a women and children's charity if you wish, or you can visit our blog for suggestions and tips on how to re-use and re-invent all your Xpat wares.
